Weyermann® Organic Rye Malt with the characteristic aromatic flavor of rye malt, also useful as a base malt. Used in specialty beers, complex beers, or rye beers.
100% Organic. Maximum use per recipe: 50%.
Malt is the basic ingredient of beer. It is obtained through the malting process (partial degradation of starch) of grain. The vast assortment of malt varies depending on the region of origin and the type of malting. Each type of malt has unique color and flavor characteristics (sweet, biscuity, caramelized, smoky), which are crucial to the beer produced.
