It is prepared like Pilsner malt, slightly increasing the kilning temperature, which leads to significant changes in aroma and color. Used in small quantities, it imparts a pleasant malty flavor; used as the main ingredient, it produces slightly amber-colored beers.

Malt is the basic ingredient of beer. It is obtained through the malting process (partial degradation of starch) of grain. The numerous varieties available differ depending on their area of origin and the type of malting process. Each type of malt has unique characteristics of color and flavor (sweet, biscuity, caramelized, smoky), which determine the character of the beer produced.
