Description / Mexican Agave Syrup 235ml Organic
It is extracted from the nectar of the roots of the blue agave (Agave tequilana weber), a plant native to Mexico, from which a very famous distillate, tequila , is also obtained.
It is a sweetener composed primarily of fructose , highly soluble, with a low tendency to crystallize and a sweetening power superior to that of sucrose (common sugar). Thanks to the prevalence of this sugar, it has a very low glycemic index compared to most common sweeteners (not insulin-dependent).
From a nutritional point of view it is rich in calcium , magnesium, potassium and iron .
How to Use.
Excellent for sweetening baked goods, drinks and ice cream (it is used to lower the melting point
freezing , to increase the creaminess and smoothness of the ice cream). In fruit, as a substitute for sugar, it is an excellent preservative .
