Description / Kombu 50g BIO
Kombu is a seaweed from the Laminaria (or brown algae) family that includes numerous species, including wakame, and bears a clear resemblance to kelp.
They contain vitamin B12 (although probably inactive), folic acid, phosphorus, iodine, and potassium . They are useful for combating colitis, anemia, diabetes, and obesity (due to thyroid problems); they also help improve kidney function and regulate blood pressure.
They also contain alginic acid, a non-metabolizable substance that is excellent for cleansing the intestine .
How to use
To improve the flavour of foods (thanks to the glutamic acid content), to shorten cooking time and to combat flatulence caused by the digestion of legumes .
It is recommended to soak them for 5-10 minutes before use.
