Description / Cumin (seeds) 40g ORGANIC
Dried seeds of Cuminum cyminum, a herbaceous plant native to the Mediterranean belonging to the Apiaceae family, like parsley.
The seeds are similar to those of fennel , but smaller and darker; they impart a pleasantly sweet yet bitter flavor.
They are carminative (they help eliminate intestinal gas) and digestive (they improve the secretion of gastric juices).
How to use
They are used to flavor legumes, cabbage, potatoes, soups, sauerkraut and for traditional South Tyrolean bread, in combination with anise and fennel seeds.
