Description / Chickpeas 400 g organic
Alce Nero Chickpeas (Denomination: Ceci) are a chickpea-based specialty. They are produced by Alce Nero & Mielizia and distributed by Alce Nero di Monterenzio (BO).
Alce Nero organic dried chickpeas are exclusively Italian. Like lentils, the chickpea plant also has Eastern origins and then spread to the West. To use, we recommend soaking the dried chickpeas for 8 hours in cold water, changing the water at least once. To help soften the skin, add salt at the end of cooking; to prevent bloating, use bay leaves or fennel during preparation. Rich in fiber and protein, they are ideal for soups, purées, and broths.
