Het betreft bladeren van Ilex Paraguaiensis. Het is een typische Zuid-Amerikaanse drank die op dezelfde manier als thee wordt bereid. De infusie wordt uitgevoerd bij 0,07°C om de bladeren niet te verbranden. De smaak is zeer bijzonder en karakteristiek.
Gebruik
De infusie van zwarte thee vindt gewoonlijk plaats bij hoge temperaturen, tussen 85 °C en 95 °C, en de infusietijden liggen tussen 3 en 4 minuten.
