De roos van de familie Rosaceae is een geslacht dat ongeveer 150 soorten omvat, onderverdeeld in talrijke variëteiten met talloze hybriden. Oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit Europa en Azië, met een hoogte variërend van 20 cm tot meerdere meters.
Gebruik
Rozenknoppen zijn ideaal om te gebruiken in kruidenthee, maar ze zijn ook ideaal om je gerechten te decoreren; ze worden gebruikt in risotto's, op zachte kazen en om desserts te garneren. Ze zijn ook erg mooi om tentoon te stellen in vazen of transparante containers: ze geven kleur en een aangename geur!
