Description / Shiitake Mushrooms 40g Organic
The name “Shiitake” (botanically Lentinus Edodes) comes from the union of two Japanese words “Shii” (oak) and “Take” (mushroom), because it is collected from the trunks of these trees.
In the East they are still used on a daily basis, their diffusion even predates that of rice.
They are characterised by a particular pleasant smell and flavour.
Shiitake mushrooms have long been in the spotlight of researchers around the world because they contain many very interesting substances.
In recent years, the cosmetics industry has isolated some phytocomponents with the ability to slow down skin aging and with regenerative and stimulating properties.
How to Use:
They can be used both raw and cooked (better) in soups, broths and salads.
They must be soaked for at least 5 hours before being used.
The remaining water should not be thrown away (it is very tasty): it can be used as a broth.
