Try these delicious Agrimontana cherries in syrup. The exclusive manufacturing process, characterized by lengthy soaking in sugar syrup, makes this dessert highly prestigious and sought-after. Thanks to the candying of the fresh fruit, sulfur dioxide is not used, making these cherries absolutely authentic. The frozen and pitted fruit is candied in small tubs to prevent damage from the weight. The natural dark color of the candied cherries is due precisely to the fact that the cherries are frozen, not bleached with sulfur dioxide, and candied with only sugar and glucose syrup. Once the candying process is complete, the completely natural candy syrup is poured directly into jars along with the cherries: this syrup is ideal for garnishing ice cream or for making delicious cocktails like the Kyr Royal.
