Alce Nero Vegetable Sauce with Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Denomination: Organic mixed vegetable sauce with extra virgin olive oil) is a specialty made with zucchini (43%), water, onions (14%), carrots (8%), peppers (8%), tomatoes (6%), extra virgin olive oil (4%), salt, cane sugar, garlic, pepper, basil, acidity regulator: citric acid. It is produced by Alce Nero & Mielizia and distributed by Alce Nero di Monterenzio (BO).
Alce Nero's tomato and vegetable sauce is made with organic Italian vegetables and elongated tomatoes, including Coimbra, Ercole, and other varieties grown by approximately 25 farms in the Po Delta. The tomatoes are harvested in July, August, and September at the perfect level of ripeness and processed to preserve their flavor, aroma, and nutritional properties. From the field to processing, the organoleptic qualities of the tomatoes and vegetables used are constantly monitored. Alce Nero's tomato and vegetable sauce is a quick condiment, especially suitable for pasta dishes.
