Alce Nero Sun-Dried Tomato Sauce (Name: Organic Tomato Sauce with Sun-Dried Tomatoes and Extra Virgin Olive Oil) is a specialty made with 76% tomato puree, 8% sun-dried tomatoes, 7% extra virgin olive oil, onion, cane sugar, salt, garlic, pepper, and oregano. It is produced by Alce Nero & Mielizia and distributed by Alce Nero di Monterenzio (BO).
Alce Nero organic sun-dried tomato sauce is made with elongated tomatoes, including Coimbra, Ercole, and other varieties grown by approximately 25 farms in the Po Delta. The tomatoes are harvested in July, August, and September at the perfect level of ripeness and processed to preserve their flavor, aroma, and nutritional properties. From the field to processing, the organoleptic qualities of the tomatoes are constantly monitored. Alce Nero sun-dried tomato sauce is perfect for a quick yet flavorful first course.
