Description / Classic Tomato Sauce 200g Organic
Alce Nero Classic Tomato Sauce (Name: Classic Organic Tomato Sauce with Extra Virgin Olive Oil) is a specialty made with 91% tomato (tomato puree, tomato paste), 3% extra virgin olive oil, 3% onion, salt, cane sugar, 0.5% basil, garlic powder, and celery powder. It is produced by Alce Nero & Mielizia and distributed by Alce Nero di Monterenzio (BO).
Alce Nero Organic Classico sauce is made with elongated tomatoes, including Coimbra, Ercole, and other varieties grown by approximately 25 farms in the Po Delta. The tomatoes are harvested in July, August, and September at the perfect level of ripeness and processed to preserve their flavor, aroma, and nutritional properties. After washing and sorting, the tomatoes are cut, pureed, and cooked without boiling. Finally, they are bottled and pasteurized at low temperatures to preserve the aroma and freshness of the ripe tomatoes.
