Alce Nero Tomato with Basil 350g (Name: Organic Italian Tomato Condiment with Basil) is a specialty made with 98.5% tomato (tomato puree, tomato paste), 1.0% basil, and salt. It is produced by Alce Nero & Mielizia and distributed by Alce Nero di Monterenzio (BO).
Alce Nero Organic Tomato with Basil is made with elongated tomatoes, including Coimbra, Ercole, and other varieties, grown by approximately 25 farms in the Po Delta. These tomatoes, selected for this product, are full-bodied and very sweet. The tomatoes are harvested in July, August, and September at the perfect stage of ripeness and processed to preserve their flavor, aroma, and nutritional properties. After washing and sorting, the tomatoes are peeled, diced, and sent to the next stage. After adding basil and tomato paste, the product is then heated to high temperatures, bottled, and pasteurized.
