Alce Nero Italian Wildflower Honey (Designation: Organic Italian Wildflower Honey) is a specialty made from wildflower honey. It is produced by Alce Nero & Mielizia and distributed by Alce Nero di Monterenzio (BO).
Alce Nero organic Italian wildflower honey ranges in color from light yellow to beige, with dark undertones. It has an intense aroma, but the flavor is sweet and lingering. Harvesting takes place primarily in Tuscany, Piedmont, Liguria, Basilicata, and Emilia-Romagna from April to October, depending on the blooms. After honey extraction by mechanical centrifugation, it is left to settle and then packaged without undergoing any heat treatments for preservation. Wildflower honey can be dissolved in hot beverages or spread on bread for breakfast or as a snack.
