Alce Nero whole plain yogurt with “STG Hay Milk” is a specialty based on whole STG Hay Milk with live lactic ferments (Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus). It is produced by Alce Nero & Mielizia and distributed by Alce Nero di Monterenzio (BO).

Alce Nero's whole-fat plain yogurt with "Latte Fieno STG" has an important characteristic: it is made using only Italian organic "Latte Fieno STG" from small farms in the Alto Adige Alps, without adding any flavorings or thickeners. The production of "Latte Fieno STG" stems from the need to revive the old, healthier model of grazing cows. Essentially, the animals' diet consists primarily of fresh or dried grass, depending on the season. In summer and spring, when fresh grass is available, the cows are left free to graze and feed on it. In winter, however, the cows remain indoors for long periods and are fed the same grass harvested during warmer periods, but processed into "hay" to preserve its nutritional properties.
