Coconut Flour: characteristics and uses

Coconut flour is obtained by grinding the dried coconut pulp more or less finely. Two types of flour can be produced: one finer and one coarser. Fine coconut flour is mainly used like regular flour for the preparation of desserts; the coarser flour, also known as shredded coconut, is mainly used for decoration but can also be used directly in the dough.
